The Sorvia story
Built around the work.
And the people doing it.
Thoughtful technology for the principals, coaches, and instructional leaders who support reading instruction.
Why Sorvia
Good tools make room
for good judgment.
School leaders need time to see instruction, listen to teachers, and decide what comes next.
Sorvia creates focused technology for that work. Our first product, LiteracyLens, brings reading-specific look-fors, observation evidence, and coaching follow-through into a practical workflow.
The aim is useful evidence and a specific conversation. A walkthrough supports professional judgment alongside the school’s wider observation and instructional leadership process.
The person behind the work
Ted Henson
Founder, Sorvia LLC
Ted brings more than 30 years of experience across enterprise software, adult learning, and literacy-focused technology. His career includes developing courseware, delivering training, and serving as an Oracle Principal Product Strategist for learning products.
His later work as a technical consultant to AIM Institute for Learning & Research deepened his focus on translating the science of reading into practical instructional leadership.
That experience shapes Sorvia’s purpose: build tools that help leaders connect what they observe with the support teachers need next.
